The Texarkana Humane Society is a non-profit volunteer organization dedicated

to re-homing orphaned animals, promoting the human-animal bond, preventing

animal cruelty, educating children and adults about responsible pet ownership

and preventing pet overpopulation.

If you have animals needing homes, the Texarkana Gazette will let you run a FREE ad for 3 days.

If you have an injured animal and live inside Texarkana, TX or AR city limits call 903-798-3876.
If you have a wildlife animal in need, contact Lori Anderson at 903-838-3040.

This website is updated as adoptions become available or when the foster home has notified us that the animal has been adopted.

The Texarkana Humane Society is a non-profit 501C3 volunteer organization which means that all donations are tax-deductible by law.

The Texarkana Humane Society does not transport animals long distances.

Angie Smith, owner and instructor of All Rhythm Dance Alley in Nash, and her dance students decided this year to donate to our organization rather than exchange Christmas gifts. As you can see they donated many pet products and donated cash of more than a $100 to benefit the Texarkana Humane Society. Suggitt Concrete also contributed to the girls donations.
